Tomatillos are really easy to grow! Tomatillos require almost no attention what-so-ever, just make sure they get enough water and you are set! Be sure to plant at least a couple of plants because they seam to have trouble self pollinating.

Tomatillo plants can produce many pounds of fruit in a season, my first year of growing Tomatillos we had about 7 plants, and gathered over 5 grocery bags full of Tomatillos! We didn't add anything to the soil, just watered them very very well. The soil was a slightly sandy rock filled soil from our back yard, it drained pretty well too, so we would just let the hose run for an hour a day on a low setting.

The Tomatillos we grew that year helped us survive a time when money was tight. We found they went well with potatoes and rice, salads and even home made salsa! They are slightly tangy, crunchy and juicy!
